The general objective of this research is to determine the relationship between the use of learning strategies and the motivation for entrepreneurial activity of students of the subject Exploratory Research belonging to the Law program of the Universidad Regional Autónoma de Los Andes, Ecuador. The type of research is substantive, observational, descriptive and exploratory. Scientific, non-experimental, historical-logical and systemic-structural methods are used; they are supported by Spearman’s statistical test. Two questionnaires were applied to the 93 students of the Exploratory Research subject belonging to the Law career to measure the learning strategies used by them, as well as the motivation they present for the entrepreneurial activity. Among the main results, the pre-dominant strategies were those of acquisition, codification and retrieval of information; and it was observed that most of the students were motivated by the entrepreneurial activity.
