Levantamiento y análisis preliminar de las fuentes primarias y secundarias de la historia de la comunicación de la provincia de Pastaza durante todo el período 1927-2017

Abstract:

The present work compiles an in - depth information about the media that existed, disappeared, that are maintained and those that have recently appeared in the province of Pastaza, in the context of the fact that the history of journalism in this Amazonian Province is not publicly known . From the investigation it has been investigated that its beginnings date of the year 1927, until the present dates 2017. A map of primary and secondary sources has been made. Identifying a total of 33 media; Among them radio, written, audiovisual, some have disappeared and others remain until the present time. Several journalists, historians, owners and media workers have been interviewed for this work. And the previous investigation allows us to indicate that the radios were those that had great influence with the distant communities where it was only accessible by canoe and airplane, with the announcements and messages that made arrive through its frequencies. The history of the media in Pastaza begins in 1927 when the Dominican Mission prints the first magazine in Canelos. Although of institutional character was distributed in several copies to the citizens of the Province of Pastaza, and that has served to tell the history of the Province by the stories of the Dominican missionaries.
