Livedoid vasculopathy

Abstract:

Livedoid vasculopathy is a chronic disease characterized by painful ulceration on the lower extremities, which produce white atrophic scars (atrophie blanche). The pathophysiological basis appears to be an idiopathic occlusive disorder without inflammatory changes of the blood vessels. We present a series of four patients with clinical and histological livedoid vasculopathy, two of which were treated with azathioprine with good clinical outcome. © 2009 Elsevier España S.L.
