Los principios de la bioética y su influencia en la formación humana de los estudiantes de grado de la carrera de Biotecnología de la Universidad Politécnica Salesiana.

Abstract:

The main objective of the article is to provide a space for reflection about the principles of Bioethics and its influence on the human formation of the students mentioned in the title. Bioethics nowadays encompasses a large field of actions to which serve as a limit or norm, if one can say that, biotechnology and its procedures being one of them, it is important to show how the different principles of Bioethics influence. In this specific field, there is a constant discussion regarding its procedures from the least invasive to those that could be considered as an attack on the integrity of the immersed living being. The different sections within the document will break down information about Bioethics, Biotechnology, their acting together, Bioethics and its principles, the legal framework and the framework of dignity, latter being the one that leads to the outcome of the survey which will be used as a research technique in order to obtain information about how an influence of the aforementioned principles has been evidenced within the classrooms of the students of the Biotechnology Degree belonging to the UPS. The present document provides theory that base the conclusion of the fieldwork process, as well as the analysis of the results of the surveys carried out and their subsequent conclusions. It is suggested to consider Bioethics as the confrontation between facts and values regarding the consideration of human welfare and respect for life in general, with this the reader can clearly identify the reason for the outcome of the field work.
