Abstract:

Counterfactuality, the quality of being contrary to the fact, appears as an effect of the quantum phenomena with very possible applications in the realm of the Interaction-Free Measurements. The bomb-testing problem proposed by Penrose, Elitzur, and Vaidman is now feasible, after solving some engineering-type problems, thanks to the advance of technology. The mathematical and philosophical implications of the Interaction Free Measurement realizations are analyzed under a not-so-elegant but useful approach to counterfactual computation. This work will propose speculative work based on the conclusions derived from the study of the current quantum technology and theory.
