MANAGEMENT SAFETY AND HEALTH AT WORK TO REDUCE ACCIDENTS IN COMPANIES MACHALA-ECUADOR

Abstract:

This study was conducted in companies located in the city of Machala, and its main objective was to analyze the culture of prevention and control of occupational accidents and occupational diseases in the city, across the main occupational hazards to which they are exposed workers, the level of reaction thereof; and the implementation of measures of labor safety and health by their employers; using a descriptive approach and a combination of qualitative and quantitative strategy. According to the results, it was learned that the sector is neglected in most of these companies, both by workers and employers, showing major inconsistencies in these issues; furthermore, it was learned that locative, ergonomic, electrical and mechanical hazards are present in the activities in the machalenas companies.
