MIDRA-OAA: Autonomic reflective middleware for adaptive learning object management

Abstract:

This article introduces a context-aware reflective middleware architecture based on autonomic computing and SOA, which aims to provide interoperability, adaptability, management, accessibility and reusability of Adaptive Learning Objects (ALOs). The middleware incorporates an ontological framework for knowledge management, and is made up of autonomic cycles of data analytic tasks for ALOs administration, among other things. The middleware is able to handle ubiquitous environments, monitor the context, and adapt the ALO according to the user and technological profile obtained.
