MOBILE APPLICATIONS AND THEIR IMPACT ON SOCIETY

Abstract:

In recent years, there has been a constant development in the use of information and communication technologies, especially in the use of mobile devices for access to web and mobile applications, whether they are related to e-commerce, entertainment, productivity and health-related issues. Health-related mobile applications have been growing in the world and also in Ecuador, this type of applications are used by patients and healthcare providers; however, the use of social networks has also seen changes in the search for health information. Using the analytical-synthetic method, descriptive research and a software development methodology, characteristics were obtained for the development of a web application that allows users of the Santo Domingo Foundation to access information on preventive medicine and allows active communication with doctors through the messaging means incorporated into the application.
