Main Effects Due to Distributed Energy Resources Connected to Distribution Network of Medium Voltage
Abstract:
This research project presents different simulations in CYMDIST program, in order to determine the feasibility of a micro-network that would have electrical batteries in the medium voltage network of a Centrosur feeder, which has generation distributed in the Gualaceo town. The purpose is to determine the best connection to reduce energy losses, considering that there is an excess of the generation that could be stored in off-peak hours. The Gualaceo mini hydroelectric plant is chosen since can work independently or be connected to the distribution utility. In addition, an energy storage system will be tested.
