Manejo clínico y tratamiento de la comunicación bucosinusal post exodoncia

Abstract:

Oroantralcommunication is the loss of continuity between the oral cavity and the maxillary sinus, which occurs as a complication in oral surgeries and can manifest itself during the extraction of posterior superiorteeth. Etiologically isrelated to erroneous maneuvers and abruptmovements during the use of elevators and forceps for the removal of the tooth, and requires immediate closure, to prevent contamination of the maxillary sinus. Objective: to know how the clinical management and treatment to be carried outin a post-extraction bucosinusal communication would be, for which the different types of treatment for said closure will be explained. Method: Retrospective bibliographic study of deductive method, with the collection of articles in English, Portuguese,and Spanish with the search engines Scielo, Google Scholar, Pubmed.
