Manejo de la enfermedad buba en el cultivo de cacao, hacienda Rodeo Grande, cantón Baba, provincia de Los Ríos
Abstract:
The present work was carried out in the Hacienda Rodeo Grande de Agripac, located at Km 3.5 via Baba, Los Ríos province. Four treatments were used for the management of cocoa bean, of which two corresponded to calcium carbonate and NPK (nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium), phytosanitary pruning and a control. Four applications of the treatments were made. An applied design was used. It was completely randomized with 5 repetitions. For the comparison of means, the Tukey mean test was used at 5% probability; additionally, an efficacy test was made using the methodology of (Henderson and Tilton) at the beginning and at the end of the experiment, the number of buba in the low, medium and high strata of each cacao tree was counted, It was determined that there were significant differences between treatments, with the application of the products in the three treatments the lowest number of buba per tree, in the three strata of the plant. The highest percentage of effectiveness was in treatment # 1.
