Manejo del pulgón negro Pentalonia nigronervosa , en banano orito Musa acuminata , en el sector Julio Moreno, provincia de Santo Domingo de Tsáchilas

Abstract:

The present research was carried out in the “La Posada” farm, in the Julio Moreno sector, Province of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas. It seeked to evaluate the management and control of the black aphid (Pentalonianigronervosa) in the Orito bananas (Musa acuminata). The following objectives were set: 1) Determine the best insecticide control for the black aphid, to improve the quality of the Orito banana bunch;2) identify the best treatment for the black aphid control and;3) evaluate the results of the quality of the fruit by applying the types of insecticides. Twenty four plants were identified for each treatment in the reproductive phase, when the acorn sprouts, the banana bunch is wrapped in the first week. To control the black aphid, the plant was fumigated with organic insecticides such as Plagamix, identified with a black/ tomato tape, Cochibiol with a purple tape and Killbac + Entrust 240 with a yellow tape and a witness. After each application during the week, a monitoring is carried out 24 and 72 hours. At harvest, 24 bunches of each treatment were evaluated, studying the variables of the number of hands, number of fingers, aphids in flower, aphids in fingers, obtaining as a result a decrease in production due to damage caused by insects. The results also show the identification of damage by insects, the age in the harvest week and the relation between the variables. The only variables that did not have a statistically significant equality were the plagamix and cochibiol treatment, compared to treatment 4, Killbac + Entrust 240 had a lower incidence in fingers with 1.66% which is a favorable result.
