Manejo multidisciplinario en una fusión dental
Abstract:
Male patient, 11 years of age, presents a dental anomaly in number, also in shape and form. A dental fusion between the central right incisor and a supernumerary tooth exists, its binding is through all of its dental tissues, do to this anomaly the patient has emotional and psychological alterations for not having the proper aesthetics on its tooth of a normal 11 year old boy. A multidisciplinary treatment plan is developed by adjoining different dental specialties in which include: Endodontics, oral surgery and dental aesthetics, during process we come across a tear on the root of the incisor which is later sealed and treated by a sealant material called MTA, the same one that 3 months later proves to have worked in its right purpose, by regenerating the loss of bone tissue and also preventing a possible infection of the treated tooth. The multidisciplinary treatment plan is performed this way with the ending objective of regaining his emotional, psychological and social confidence that he deserves, this way he can fit in into a society witch dental aesthetics is every day and evermore demanding.
