Manejo y prevalencia de complicaciones inmediatas en postoperatorio de pacientes colecistectomizados por vía laparoscópica, Hospital Regional Vicente Corral Moscoso, Cuenca, enero-junio 2011
Abstract:
Background: Minimally Invasive Surgery reduces surgical trauma exposure substantially. There are still complications such as pain, fever, nausea and vomiting, that cause significant distress in patients. General Objective: To Determinate manage and prevalence of postoperative complications in patients intervened by Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, at Vicente Corral M Hospital. Cuenca 2001. Methodology: This investigation is a descriptive clinical study with 60 patients intervened by Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, and hospitalized at Vicente Corral M Hospital, in the last 6 months. The method was the survey, using a form developed by the authors, who includes personal and clinical records of patients. Results: The mean age was 41.36 years for patients with biliary disease. The most affected age ranges were 20-29 and 30-59 years. Female sex was more affected. Overweight or obese patients more often have biliary disease.100% of patients have immediate postoperative pain, despite receiving analgesics, NSAIDs remain the most used. The pain persists in moderate intensity at 6 hours, and decreases slightly at 24 hours. About nausea and vomiting, there are higher incidences of nausea between 37-42 years with 81.7%. In temperature, the average age (20-29 years), gender difference, women / men (31.6% / 1.7%), employed vs. unemployed predominance (23.3% / 0%).
