Manual de capacitación sobre arte ancestral costeño

Abstract:

The importance of recovering the cultural identity of the people from the Coast of Ecuador and specially the people from Guayaquil in lieu of a globalization that strips away from the individual cultural references that bring them a sense of identity and a sense of belonging to a society, substantiates the purpose of organizing a Capacitation Manual of Ancestral Art for Graphic Design teachers of Tecnológico Argos. The categories of this manual are: Ancestral Art, Culture and Education in their most representative dimensions as the iconographic studies of the Pre-Columbian ceramic production that contain the bases of the communicational and visual identity which belong to the foundations of each culture and its relation to its cosmovision. As a way of gathering information, surveys and interviews were applied to students, teachers, and specialists of Graphic Design, all of which constitute the direct beneficiaries of this Manual. This document will give them methodological orientation and organized information to develop the knowledge of the most relevant aesthetic features of the ancestral ceramic and its application as elements of inspiration in their creative process. Artists and artisans will also benefit from this Manual because the application of the Ancestral forms and techniques will require their craftsmanship to produce works of art. Also the people of Guayaquil, the Coast and the entire Ecuador can take advantage of this document by visualizing in a concrete way the fundamental principle of being a culturally ample and diverse nation.
