Mapping between CMMI-DEV v1.3 and ISO/IEC 90003:2014: Process areas of "management of decisions and suppliers" and "creating a culture of excellence

Abstract:

Software development organizations require implementing models and standards to improve the quality of their software products. Currently, there are multiple models and standards, which make it difficult to determine which of them fits best the objectives of each organization. In this context, the present study pretends to address the lack of documentation about the correspondence of models and standards by presenting a mapping between a part of the model CMMI-DEV v1.3 and the standard ISO/IEC 90003:2014. The SFramework model was used to perform the mapping. As a result, it was determined that the level of relationship between the process areas of 'Decision and supplier management' and 'Creating a culture of excellence' of CMMI-DEV v1.3 and the processes of ISO/IEC 90003:2014 is 5,62%.
