Massage and physical activities in case of edemato-fibro sclerotic panniculopaty at the Primary Health Care


Abstract:

Introduction: Edematous Fibro sclerotic Panniculopaty (EFSP), better known as cellulite is a disease of great social impact as it affects the majority of the world's women and Cuba is no exception. Objective: to update the existing knowledge on the EFSP and its prevention and treatment in primary health care through exercise and massage. Material and Methods: literature review and documentary between March and September 2013. The databases searched were Medline through PubMed and Cochrane. Anthropometric indicators, obesity, adult obesity diagnosis, primary health care: the following keywords were used. Development: in this review the most important concepts and elements of EFSP were analyzed. Physical exercise plays a key role in the prevention and reduction of sedentary and EFSP If no exercises are performed, decreases blood circulation significantly and can accumulate toxins in the body. Massage stimulates eliminates edema and venous-lymphatic circulation, being an excellent prophylactic and therapeutic technique EFSP. Conclusions: EFSP has a complex etiology and imprecise. For prevention and treatment is essential to a healthy life, where prevail aerobic exercise and massage.
