Mathematics teaching methodology. State of the art


Abstract:

The aim of the article was to analyze trends in research regarding the methodology and teaching of mathematics from publications reported in Spanish language in relation thereto. The research developed was exploratory and was based on a literature review regarding the terms "teaching of mathematics" and "methodology of mathematics" that appeared in articles published in scientific journals reported in Google Scholar. The results of the review of the literature allowed to establish that the references related to the "teaching of mathematics" have a greater impact (more citations per document and higher index h) that those related to the "methodology of mathematics". It was determined that publications concerning the teaching of mathematics increased relative to 2000, but decreased from 2012.
