Matrix of forgotten effects: Case of the industrial sector of Cuenca-Ecuador


Abstract:

In the present study, a vanguard tool based on the theory of fuzzy logic, known as forgotten effects, is applied to the industrial sector of the city of Cuenca-Ecuador. The objective of this article is to identify the actions and effects for the application of the matrix of forgotten effects, through hidden variables which are difficult to detect by the managers and that should be considered, with the purpose of reducing the uncertainty in the lack of labor in this sector, this is to provide a solution to this type of problem. Within the methodology, a rectangular matrix of forgotten effects is presented, with information provided by business experts, achieving the following result: Promoting training courses has an impact on the appropriate profitability through the quality of the product, which is why it should be taken the best decision on this last variable. In conclusion, the development of the theory of forgotten effects allows acting on variables that contain indirect causality, in order to immediately support a correct decision making trying to strengthen the organization.
