Measurement of professional success for graduates of the State Technical University of Quevedo-Ecuador


Abstract:

Follow-up studies of university graduates have contributed to measuring the success of graduates in current work settings. The objective of this study is to analyze the follow-up of graduates, their professional performance in the business sector, in addition, how they consider the success of their career and their satisfaction at the State Technical University of Quevedo-Ecuador. An exploratory-descriptive investigation was worked, with a quantitative approach, and a non-experimental design. A questionnaire with questions designed according to the Likert scale was applied to 442 graduates of the different careers, of which 56% correspond to the male sex and 44% represent the female sex. The results indicated that 82% of the subjects rate the professional training received as excellent. Employers believe that 55% fully agree with the knowledge and skills of graduates who work in the workplace. It is concluded that it is positive to apply tools to strengthen the monitoring of graduates and their job placement, benefiting employers and the university, since it allows knowing the performance of graduates and their performance. Likewise, it reveals good satisfaction on the part of employers in line with the needs of today’s society
