Medusa-like carbon nanotubes formed during dry methane reforming on activated carbon-supported Ni-Ca catalyst
Abstract:
The evolution and influence of carbon nanotubes formed during the dry methane reforming reaction on activated carbon-supported Ni-Ca catalyst was studied. It was found that after 90min reaction carbon nanotubes are convoluted around axial planes in a similar shape that carbon nano onion. This carbon nanostructure could be associated not only with a high stability of catalyst but also with an increase after 90min reaction in one order magnitude in surface area.
