Abstract:

The purposeobjective of the present work of the end of degree (WED) is to determine the study interest of Ecuadorian Universities on drug consumption, as well as, which groups are doing research and what are the main findings. 649 research projects were collected and 262 were selected by consumption level: initial, habitual and habitual with addiction. Based on the conclusions, the following factors were analyzed: preventative factors and risk factors associated with consumption. The results show that: (1) there are more WEDs on consumers in the initial phase, (2) the research groups that stand out are from Universities in Loja and Cuenca, (3) The factors associated with the consumption of substances are: age, sex and marital status, resilience, psychological flexibility, anxiety and depression, stress, type A personality, coping styles, self-esteem, family dysfunction, social support and peer influence, most of the results are consistent with international literature. The initial level has the greatest number of research groups, the most studied substance is alcohol followed by tobacco and marijuana. Some correlational WEDs have the possibility of disseminating their findings in other scientific spaces.
