Methodological triangulation to define educational profiles EVAs
Abstract:
We determined the profiles teachers have university professors in Virtual Learning Environments (VLE). It is made based on triangulation and sequential combination of three methods: in situ of the VLE, surveys and interviews analysis. The methodology ensures reliable and complementary results of the study object. The subjective nature of data collection tools such as surveys and/or interviews should be contrasted and complemented with objective data from other data sources (in situ analysis of VLE). The results highlighted that teachers use their VLE to distribute materials for mainly non-mandatory individual and/or small group activities. The profiles of teachers according to the type of materials and activities used and the weight they give to the face part with respect to the virtual, it is complementary to and superimposed profile (Salinas, 2008)
