Migration: Context, impact and challenge. A theoretical reflection


Abstract:

The history of humanity has allowed the collection of various migratory events in the world, since since the human species exists, there are signs of migration. People have had to move from one place to another to improve their living conditions. Considering this perspective, this article composes a theoretical reflection on the migration process, highlighting the factors, consequences and policies of the phenomenon. The nature of the study is descriptive, with an analytical approach, whose source of information is documentary. The findings obtained demonstrate that migration is a social process that alters the structure, growth and distribution of the population of a locality and is mainly linked to social, economic and political factors, which leaves considerable marks both in the country of origin and in the destination It is concluded that, this indissoluble phenomenon of population change is determined by the social and economic structure of a region or country that highlights opportunities for growth and development or problems that undermine the stability of people, so they are made expect policies that help control this process as a means to favor the countries and people involved.
