Abstract:

Background Endoscopic Ultrasound-guided Transmural Drainage (EUS-TD) is a minimally invasive first-line modality for the management of two types of pancreatic fluid collection (PFC): pancreatic pseudocyst (PP) and walled-off necrosis (WON). EUS-TD has demonstrated a shorter hospital stay and less morbidity compared to surgical cystogastrostomy. Stents delivery systems are available in different materials and trademarks. Their specific outcomes on PFC types have not been described, particularly in a Hispanic population.
