Mobile application for ergonomic analysis of the sitting posture of the torso

Abstract:

In order to present a dynamic tool for posture correction, in order to provide immediate feedback in inappropriate positions during the sitting position for the prevention of occupational diseases, an application was developed for mobile devices with Android operating system. This application is in the capacity to perform the ergonomic analysis of the posture of the trunk by means of the data provided by two IMU sensors, located in the area of the cervical and the greater trochanter by means of the designed prototypes. The alarm system established for was designed based on ISO 11226: 2000.
