Mobile video service disruptions control in android using JADE
Abstract:
The rapid evolution of wireless communications has contributed to successful of the mobile Video Streaming service today. However, the streaming technique is necessary for receiving video efficiently because the mobiles still have limited resources. The unpbkp_redictable behavior of wireless channels can produce service disruptions, and rejection of the user. In a previous work the last two authors have worked on solving this problem using a new architecture based on software agents and proxies. This paper extends that previous work by applying it to the new mobile phones based on Android. We have developed new skills: the use of servers (VLC and YouTube) and the use of multimedia compression formats. The comparison of our results and the previous ones for the other platforms shows that our mechanism is very efficient and provides a high quality service for the user. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.
