Modal frequency sensitivity of a power plant to bearing stiffness variations.

Abstract:

Based on a theoretical model of an electric power unit previously adjusted and validated, a sensitivity analysis of modal frequencies have been done by simulating stiffness losses of rotor bearings in order to estimate variations of this important dynamic parameter if any of simulated situations appear in the machine. This is a contribution in order to improve the diagnosis techniques to be applied.
