Modelación del coeficiente de resistencia al flujo para diseño de canales


Abstract:

Abstract: The modeling and selection of the coefficient of resistance for the design of hydrodynamic channels represents a problem that affects technically and economically in the sizing of the channels, in terms of the variables associated with it, which condition the flow rate transported, fulfilling with the hydrodynamic characteristics appropriate for that purpose. The objective of this work is to model the channels, taking into account the resistance, with special attention to the fluid mechanics necessary for the hydrodynamic design. The study was carried out in the hydraulic laboratory of the Vicente Rocafuerte Laica University, specifically in the CA-FIIC-2017 channel. In the correlation, reliability models greater than 99.5% were obtained in subcritical-turbulent flow. The optimization of channel design based on resistance offers an economic and technical budget.
