Análisis de las emisiones de CO2 provocadas por el sector transporte en el Ecuador. Un análisis regional.

Abstract:

This research paper shows the amount of CO2 emissions emitted to the atmosphere in the different provinces of Ecuador. The objective is to evaluate the CO2 emissions caused by the transport sector in Ecuador through a regional analysis. For the estimation of the emissions of mobile sources, the emission factor of the pollutant (petrol and diesel) was used, kilometers traveled by vehicle and total of vehicles using diesel fuel and gasoline present research work shows the Amount of CO2 emissions emitted to the atmosphere in the different provinces of Ecuador. The objective is to evaluate the CO2 emissions caused by the transport sector in Ecuador through a regional analysis. As for the results obtained the province of Pichincha is one of the most populated towns of Ecuador, consequently it is the province that registers the largest number of metric tons of CO2 that are emitted to the atmosphere finally the less populated province It is Pastaza and records the lowest number of metric tons of CO2. These results are expected to consolidate viable and reproducible strategies in the provinces of Ecuador that can help to improve the environment and the quality of life of the citizens.
