Modeling, Simulation and Construction of a Wind Turbine with Chain Multiplication System9 Destined to Rural Areas of the Canton Cuenca-Ecuador

Abstract:

This article presents the modeling, the simulations made to a 750W wind turbine for the rural areas of Canton Cuenca-Ecuador. The project went through a stage of laboratory research and with the MATLAB R2017a the simulations were carried out. The simulations were based on the characteristic parameters of the wind turbine, which should generate energy to be stored in a battery and provide energy to homes where the installed load does not exceed 750W, the objective is also to supply energy to homes that they are dispersed and outside the conventional distribution electrical network. Power generation is possible at very low speeds when using a truck alternator that was used for this case. In the end, the wind turbine underwent functional tests in the town of Turi known place as the balcony of the City of Cuenca-Ecuador.
