Modeling, Simulation and Stability Analysis of a Low-Wind Turbine for the Supply of Energy to the Amazon Jungle and Galapagos in Ecuador

Abstract:

In this article a wind turbine model is built, the simulations are carried out and finally the construction stage of the 800 watts turbine is passed, the same one that can supply 353 remote houses in the Amazon jungle and Galápagos in Ecuador. As part of the process, the wind turbine went through a stage of laboratory research and the simulations in MATLAB R2015 were used to carry out the construction, which focused on obtaining the highest performance to provide power to remote homes. Power generation is possible at fairly low speeds, but higher than 2 m/s. ln the end, the wind turbine was subjected to performance tests, which established the power curve versus the speed of power generation. This energy is stored in two 12-volt DC batteries for non-generation hours.
