Abstract:

The research aims to identify the models, theories and nursing practice APPLIED BY THE STAFF OF NURSES, AND INTERNAL PROFESSIONAL NURSING CARE PROVIDED TO PATIENTS WHO GO TO THE HOSPITAL EMERGENCY SERVICE "Vicente Corral Moscoso." CUENCA 2010 – 2011. Materials and methods .- The present study was descriptive Quantitative analyzes the characteristics of care provided by nursing professionals. The study group was constituted by: 19 people, 3 floor nurses, 16 and 8 internal contract nursing, given the size of the universe sample calculation is made. The research techniques used were: participant observation and interviewing nursing staff. Results .- According to our research results in professional nurses working in emergency service models of care unaware of situation that affects nursing care and patient care. Conclusion .- The research shows that the care given to patients at the emergency service is routinely made visible less meaningful and socially, their action has no impact, is inconsequential and impairs the quality and efficiency of care, they do not apply any model of care but only some isolated components of the Nursing Care Process.
