Modern technologies for petroleum exploration: Historical study

Abstract:

The use of Petroleum as an energy source and the history of its extraction is just over a century old, however, there have been giant advances in the type of technologies used for oil drilling. Over the years they have tried to implement techniques in the oil exploitation, which have a lower environmental impact. The first technologies used for the drilling of the earth allowed a vertical drilling, at the present time the most recent drills are made of diamonds or tungsten due to their resistance. Nowadays, the use of lasers in the oil industry has made it possible to generate a great difference between working time and increased production, since this technology is generated faster. The procedure is generated through an electric pulse, replacing the radioactive emanations that were traditionally used to make measurements underground, this allows diverting and bkp_redirecting the drills to places where the oil deposits are located, there are companies that are using this type of technology in several wells in Ecuador.
