Morbilidad y mortalidad materno-neonatal y calidad de atención en el Hospital Moreno Vásquez de Gualaceo durante el período mayo 2010-febrero 2011
Abstract:
ABSTRACT Objective: To describe the main causes of maternal - neonatal morbility and mortality, and quality of attention in the hospital Moreno Vasquez de Gualaceo from May 2010 to February 2011, this research is part of the Information and Communication Technologies (TIC), the same is under the direction of Dr. Jose Ortiz. Methodology: We analyzed 476 medical records of births, taken from the database of the Perinatal Information System. Results: It was found that there are no reported cases of maternal-neonatal mortality, but did find cases of disease. As most frequent causes of maternal morbility was found: Abnormalities of the dynamics of labor (28.05%), Abortion unspecified (14.19%), representing 70.62% other. Regarding neonatal morbidity was recorded: Fetus and Newborn affected by premature rupture of membranes (25.00%), ABO incompatibility of the fetus and newborn (13.33%), the rest added 61.66%. Through the standards of quality of perinatal care, it was noted that 100% compliant in terms of standard care Newborn with respiratory disorders and pre term births with antenatal steroids, and there are deficiencies in the care of pregnant women with Premature Rupture of Membranes (75%). Conclusions: Extracted the data and analyzed the medical records, we noted the absence of maternal – neonatal mortality, be the main problem of morbility the Premature Rupture of Membranes, the quality of care has not yet reached an optimum level due to inadequate organization by the staff working in this institution.
