Multi-vessel diseases in a patient with porcelain aorta. Complete arterial revascularization is an effective alternative
Abstract:
Extensive calcification of the ascending aorta is an infrequent but alarming finding during performance of coronary artery bypass grafting. Porcelain aorta requires adjustments in cardiopulmonary bypass as well as in revascularization techniques. We present a 60 year old patient with left main, three coronary vessel diseases and Porcelain aorta in whom total arterial myocardial revascularization using both mammary arteries as a composite graft was performed with good outcomes at short and middle term.
