Multichannel Mioelectric Evaluator for People with Transtibial Amputation

Abstract:

The investigation focuses on the construction of a technological tool, which helps the physiotherapist in the process of evaluation the resting muscle condition, to people with transtibial amputation. As a proposal, a multi-channel acquisition system (biosensing card) was implemented and software adapted to it, was developed. The system acquires, process and show the electromyographic signals coming from the knee flexor and extensor muscles, making a comparative evaluation of muscular strength and a chronological record of it in a data base.Multichannel Mioelectric Evaluator for People with Transtibial Amputation.
