Multivariable Control of a Binary Distillation Column

Abstract:

This work is present students of University National of Loja in the southern Ecuador and associated people with the oil industry. Two strategies to control some parameters of a binary distillation tower, such as LQR (Linear Quadratic Regulator) and another in intelligent control such as fuzzy logic controllers. With purpose of comparison with the help of MATLABreg software and Simulinkreg the benefits offered by the use of either strategy in the oil industry.
