Abstract:

The research project arises from the need to have a baseline at the level of corporate social responsibility to establish whether these practices have an impact on the sustainability of the shrimp companies of the Province of Guayas, taking as reference the Parish Taura del Canton Naranjal, since in this place the Manglares Churute ecological reserve is located, in this way strengthening the practices of Social Responsibility in the shrimp sector. The type of descriptive research was considered to analyze the current situation of the companies located in the parish, through quantitative analysis to describe key elements, theoretical and empirical methods are applied. The theoretical foundation was developed where social responsibility theories are addressed, making a current diagnosis of the sector, explaining the results through surveys of the actors involved and the most relevant indicators. It was concluded that when analyzing the indicators, there are opportunities to carry out an incentive program that contributes to the sustainability of the shrimp sector of the parish, benefiting both the companies and the inhabitants of the adjacent communities in the area.
