Necessary conditions for the mapping of into

Abstract:

We have obtained necessary conditions for the mapping of the reduced first-order density operator into the density. These conditions are given as restrictions on the elements of, the reduced first-order density matrix. The implications of these conditions for a density-functional theory based on, with built-in pure-state n-representability conditions, are discussed. © 1985 The American Physical Society.
