Neuronavigation software to visualize and surgically approach brain structures
Abstract:
Currently, neuronavigation is an essential tool for the neurosurgeon. It allows knowing the position of the surgical instruments being used while showing them on the patients' scans in real time. It is therefore one of the augmented reality systems where surgeons receive additional visual information of the structures being manipulated, increasing the precision of the surgical procedures. The purpose of this work is to describe the characteristics of the StealthStation™ S8 surgical navigation system, detailing their technical characteristics and handling.
