Neurorehabilitation in child hemiparesia post-traumatic
Abstract:
Cranioencephalic trauma (ECT) is one of the main causes of mortality up to 30% in children, the main causes are falls and traffic accidents, is presented in greater quantity in children than in girls, ages 5 to 9 years, the case presented is that of a 9-year-old girl with physi-cal, cognitive and behavioral affections, whose family was subjected to a degree of stress due to the damage presented, the physiotherapeutic intervention was immediate after discharge and intensive with sessions of 2 times a day, 5 days a week, in which different techniques of Neurore-habilitation were used, such as the Rood method, the Bobath Concept, proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation and Sensory Inte-gration strategies obtaining excellent results in 3 months of intervention, in the stable postural control, lower spastic tone of the upper and lower limbs, autonomous decubitus changes and assistance, from the initial state where the motor control was null.
