Neutrosophic cognitive map for a multi-objective decision making in software projects

Abstract:

There are many organizations focused on software development projects. These projects are often considered as high-risk projects, and usually, affected by uncertainty and their high dependence on human resources perceptions. This paper aims at creating a new decision making tool from a multi-objective approach (diagnosis, decision and pbkp_rediction) during the execution of software projects. The suggested model is based on Neutrosophic Cognitive Maps (NCMs) with a neutrosophic set in map’s connections. The proposed model constitutes a suitable tool for making comprehensive decisions in software projects characterized by uncertainty, vagueness, imprecision and indetermination. Finally, the NCM model has been compared with a traditional FCM-based model for decision making in software projects in terms of efficacy.
