New architecture approach for the interoperability of information systems in disaster management

Abstract:

When a disaster arises in a certain social nucleus, it is essential that the organizations responsible for managing it, act jointly with the objective of reaching a response that minimizes the damages and losses derived from their presence. For this, it is necessary that these organizations exchange information permanently, with the aim to obtain a common situational awareness that allows them to coordinate their operations and manage the incident in the best possible way. This article describes the architecture of an interoperability platform that allows organizations involved in the management of a disaster, to exchange information transparently and independently of the information systems and computer tools used by each of them.
