Numerical pbkp_rediction of frost formation on cooled heat exchangers


Abstract:

The development of an improved model to pbkp_redict frost formation growth is presented and discussed. The model is based on molecular diffusion of water vapor, energy and mass balances as well as equations of state. Numerical results revealed that the proposed model reliably pbkp_redicted the frost formation key parameter (frost thickness and density) and compared well with existing experimental data as well as other analytical models. © 1988.
