Obtaining bioplastics from agricultural waste: A review of the Ecuador´s potentialities.

Abstract:

After a review of the state of the art of the most prominent articles, the possible alternatives that biodegradable polymers contribute to the environmental problem generated by their synthetic relatives are analyzed. It is based on studies where bioplastics have been made with termoplastic starch, which can be a replicable experience. It ends with a discussion on the methods of decision making with which the most suitable agricultural waste can be selected to obtain bioplastics. This study can be used to generate a subsequent debate that can benefit local productive systems and the academic environment that sustains it.
