Occupational demand of the career of medicine: An analysis of the zone 3 of the ecuador)

Abstract:

The present analysis has allowed to identify the occupational demand of medical professionals in Zone 3 of the Administrative Model of Ecuador, conformed by the provinces Tungurahua, Pastaza, Chimborazo, Cotopaxi. At the same time, it has been possible to obtain a clear perception of the urgent need to train professionals at the various levels of health care and that these in turn are fully qualified to respond with integrity and professionalism to the demands of society, for which statistical data and projections have been used both for government entities and also for information collected through surveys of professionals, employers, graduates and graduates of the provinces corresponding to Zone 3. This has made it possible to establish that there is a considerable demand from physicians for the next five years.
