Registramos la presencia del clad6cero Diapha Waco y Lago Mexia, dos embalses localizados en la regi6n conocida primeramente de America Central y America del algunas localidades de los estados de Louisiana y Florida, Nuestros nuevos registros representan una expansi6n ha documentados en el sur de los Estados Unidos. Waterbodies in Texas are particularly interest ing with respect to species richness of their cladoceran fauna because presence of endemic taxa and Neotropical species are expected in this region (De Melo and Hebert, 1994; Hebert and Finston, 1996).
