Of lgtbi people to comprehensive health care accessibility
Abstract:
The study is carried out with the aim of identifying the level of access of LGBTI people to comprehensive health care, and the factors that affect the inaccessibility of the health service, which allows us to envisage an articulation that improves the care for this group. A qualitative, quantitative, bibliographic, descriptive, transversal and field study was carried out to determine and identify the factors that affect accessibility. In the results of the research the reality perceived by LGBTI people is evident, 78% have reported having suffered some kind of discrimination either by health personnel or users, 52% report that health personnel who have not identified their gender, express fear, clear taboos with regard to health care, evidencing discrimination on the part of users, health personnel, invisibility, lack of respect for rights, lack of knowledge of the Manual for the care of LGBTI people. This information allowed the orientation of training interventions for professionals and for the group itself, in order to reduce factors in the accessibility of health services, improving barriers to comprehensive care and their health status.
