Análisis de los discursos ambientales y su efecto en los procesos de formación de subjetividades campesinas en el Cantón Zapotillo, Parroquia Bolaspamba

Abstract:

Environmental discourses seek to influence the dynamics of work and use of natural resources through policies and environmental education. The influence that environmental discourses can have on people is very important to analyze given that their actions and opinions in the face of environmental pollution and the conservation of nature is partly determined by such discourses. This research considered important to be interested in the peasants' perception of the conservation of nature and the influence of environmental discourses on the formation of such perception. Specifically, it sought to explore the creation of subjectivities versus the use of soil resources. To that end, 12 qualitative interviews were applied in Bolaspamba located in the Zapotillo canton. The selection of informants was carried out through reference sampling in a chain that involved habitants with knowledge of the area. The results suggest a high influence of environmental discourses on the perception and attitudes of the peasants of the parish against the continuation of traditional subsistence and land use activities
